Accountant wanted
The International Biathlon Union, one of the seven Olympic winter sports federations is seeking a part-time (15-20 hrs) accountant for its headquarters at Peregrinstrasse 14, 5020 Salzburg. Applicant should have at least 4-5 years experience as an accountant. Previous experience in creating preliminary financial statements is an advantage. Excellent knowledge of the English language is required.

Executive Board Application Process Completed
The application process for the 2015 IBU World Championships Biathlon, the 2012 IBU Congress, and the IBU elected positions has now been completed. The delegates of the IBU Member Federations will vote on all of these items during the 9th regular IBU Congress September 2-5 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Presidents in Argentina and Norway Confirmed
The Argentinian Modern Pentathlon Federation, which is also responsible for Biathlon, held their Congress on May 31. That day the federation prepared their plans for the next four years, while also electing their officials. The Norwegian Congress took place last weekend.

A Good Balance between Training and Family
US Biathlon Team in Lake Placid
“The Americans probably travel the most of any teams, along with the Canadians” explained US Biathlon Coach Per Nilsson. Last year the US team had a seven-week-long training camp in Europe followed by three weeks of training in Utah right. The athletes were far from home for most of the year. However, the approach this year is different. As most of the team members come from the northeastern USA, many of them can actually stay at home during the first training camp for the team, which took place in Lake Placid, New York. Tanja Ohlson visited the team in Lake Placid, during a recent, private, trip to the US.
