Athletes Waiting to Return to Europe
Wilhelm, Tcherezov win Kamchatka Pursuits
Kati Wilhelm of Germany won the final competition of her career picking up only one penalty in the 10K Pursuit competition on Saturday, while Russia’s Ivan Tcherezov topped Sprint winner Emil Hegle Svendsen in the Men’s 12.5K Pursuit competition.

Long Flight from Europe to Eastern Russian Region
An aircraft landed today at Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka in the middle of a snow storm after a 13 hour flight from Munich via Novosibirsk. On board the Gazprom-chartered aircraft as it touched down in the capital city of the Russin Kamchatka region, were some of the best biathletes in the world.

Extreme training for the Swedish and British ...
Shooting, Rollerskiing and Biking comprise unusual triathlon
The Swedish and British Biathlon teams along with guest Andi Birnbacher embarked on an unusual triathlon competition last Friday. Just like every year, Swedish Coach Wolfgang Pichler planned an extreme training competition for his athletes. Not only were the athletics challenging, but also the start time was unusually early. At six o’clock in the morning, the athletes were at the shooting range in Ruhpolding’s Chiemgau Arena for zeroing.

Italy wants to jump into the relay by Vancouv...
Thanks to "Italianita"
Italy has unquestionably seen some great times in biathlon. The names Zingerle, Pallhuber, and Taschler were well known on the biathlon circuit until the mid 90's. Over the past 15 years, those names and their success have faded into history. Now a small but powerful team guided by Paolo Riva, Armin Auchentaller, and Francesco Berlendis is now trying to recapture the glory of the past.. The basis of their success is the unique "Italianita" in Italian biathlon.
