Norwegian Men Overcome Penalties, Win Relay
Austria Wins Silver, Germany Bronze
Despite a penalty each by Emil Hegle Svendsen and Lars Berger, the Norwegian foursome won the final race of the 2009 Biathlon World Championships in Pyeongchang, Korea. Halvard Hanevold and Ole Einar Bjoerndalen had prevented penalties, with Bjoerndalen making the difference in a tight battle against Christoph Sumann of Austria and Michael Greis of Germany on the final leg.

Olga Zaitseva wins the Mass Start
Russian with fourth Medal in Pyeongchang
In the total time of 34:18.3 minutes and with just two penalties, Russia's Olga Zaitseva collected her fourth medal of the Pyeongchang World Championships, winning the mass start ahead of the great surprise Anastasiya Kuzmina (SVK, 2 penalties) and Sweden's Helena Jonsson (2 penalties).

Russia wins the Relay!
Russian Women defeat Favorites from Germany, France third
Svetlana Sleptsova, Anna Boulygina, Olga Medvedtseva and Olga Zaitseva stayed clear of the penalty loop and won the women's relay in the total time of 1:13.12.9 hours. Germany finished in a distant second place, 1:15.1 minutes back, ahead of France (+1:27.5).
