Three more competitions until Christmas |

I also was in much better skiing form than in the previous races and moved from 17th place to 6th place. This means I fulfilled our internal qualification criteria for the Olympic Winter Games. But to fulfill the criteria is only a small step towards the nomination and to actually starting a competition in Whistler. Now, the competitions in Pokljuka are ahead of me and I am looking forward to them. I hope that I could take the momentum I gained in Hochfilzen over to Slovenia. The competitions will be tough on the new tracks in Pokljuka. I like the different tracks. The downhill, which was long and very tiring before, is still not easy but in good condition. The tracks are wider so there are no problems when passing or being passed. At the moment there are still some stones on the tracks, but the officials are busy picking them out. If you ski over a stone on the uphill, it’s sad because you can ruin a good ski. But if you hit a stone on the downhill part, there is more that can break than just a ski. Martina already announced last spring that she would not do the third World Cup so this week I am sharing my room with Sabrina Buchholz (Sabu) who will also get a start here. Best regards Andrea |
