| German Women, all over 30 | I am not sure about the statistics but I cannot imagine that there has ever been a Women’s Relay team with all the athletes being older than 30 years old. Today, that was the case; Martina, Simone (both 30), Kati (33) and myself (31) were probably the first ones ever. I am not in the mood to research that but I am sure that someone will do this. However, I think we have held up well, and you can’t really tell yet that we all are over 30. We did really well, despite us being “old” for competitive athletes. :)
After the individual results, which were not satisfactory at all, we are still strong together. No one should be concerned about our individual results, at least we are not. The start did not go so well, but that does not mean that for the rest of the season we will not be on the podium.
